When Dave Met Ash

Brighton is one of my favourite cities in the UK to visit, I've been there many many times over the years it's probably the most cosmopolitan Citie in the UK , I've been there for Gigs I've been there for parties or just to gather my thoughts,  I've even been there for Lewes bonfire event. for me Brighton never fails to deliver no matter what the weather. 

  On our last visit with my family, whilst my wife and daughter were in a shop browsing, I often do what I do and go for a wander and people watch, on this particular occasion I wandered off in search of coffee there was a queue in a couple of coffee shops and quite simply I don't queue! so off up to the next cafe... to my amazement I recognised someone very familiar in the window eating brunch and reading his book, Could that be ASH ? ....I summoned my daughter via the telephone "I think I've found Ash ! " a couple of minutes later she arrived confirming indeed it was,  in I went, coffee order confirmed and received.  

we went to leave and this was when I said "Ash" , we were greeted with a hello and a big smile and wave ! 

we spoke freely about all things Lovejoy, past,present and future. what a fantastic Gentleman Ash is, giving both of us 15 mins of his time and some pictures too, I mentioned about our podcast, I mentioned about seeing them back in 2023 in Bournemouth, amongst other things he mentioned that they have been recording the album down in Bristol for the past month or so.

I managed to give him one of my lego minifigures that I had created of him with a few accessories, so he could swap and change . All in all what a fantastic Gent Ash is, and what a fantastic experience for both me and my Girl !

Now I know what you're all thinking.....Did I ask him about the album ? yes I did. whether he told me or not i will never say. 

what you guys have to understand is that we are keeping our mouths shut! firmly shut ! any information if received will never be released by us . its not for us to do this . I'm sure they have a strategy and we're letting them stick to it . so please, please don't ask .
